Oprah's OWN Network To Showcase Meg Ryan Films

Along with Oprah's new programming that's already premiering on her new OWN network, the channel is also going to be playing movies and, for some reason, most of them will star Meg Ryan.

According to The A-Listers.com, OWN is set to air no less than four Meg Ryan films during its premiere week. The movies include Ryan's 1998 romantic drama with Nicolas Cage "City of Angels" and her 1994 drama with Andy Garcia "When a Man Loves a Woman."

The network will also air her 1992 film with Alec Baldwin "Prelude to a Kiss" and the 1990 comedy "Joe Versus the Volcano," where she co-starred with Tom Hanks.

After her absence from the film scene for a few years, Ryan chose Oprah's show to give her first interview in two years. She's also appeared on Oprah's show a few times since its inception, including an appearance in 2000.

Oprah's also planning on showcasing more than just Meg Ryan movies on the network. She's also set to air the Barbara Streisand films "The Prince of Tides" and "The Way We Were," and even Oprah's own "The Color Purple." icelebz
